Outlook Express Set-up

This FAQ is for Outlook 98, Oulook Express 5-6. The pictures are from Outlook 98, but all the steps are acurate for all Outook Express email programs.

  1. Open Outlook Express
  2. Go to the Tools menu, Accounts...
  3. Click the Mail tab at the top, click Add and select Mail
  4. In the Display name box enter your name as you would like it to appear to user's recieving your email and click Next.
  5. In the Email address box enter your email address (ex. jdoe@adsnet.com). Click Next. You should have recieved it when you registered with Automated Data. If you cannot find it or do not know what it is you can call (219)879-6600 and ask for that information. Please have any account information handy before calling.
  6. Enter these mail settings as followed.
    Incoming mail server is POP3
    Incoming mail server: mail.adsnet.com
    Outgoing mail server: smtp.adsnet.com
    As shown below
    Click Next.
  7. Enter your user information. The POP3 account will be the first part of your email address without the @adsnet.com (ex. jdoe@adsnet.com would be jdoe). You should have supplied your password to the register at ADS, put it in the password box. Click Next and then Finish and you have successfully completed.
